The Japanese tyre brand Falken, exclusively represented in Portugal by tyre distributor AB Tyres, is the big winner of the International Film Awards.

Its latest film, "Why We Race”, was awarded the prize for ‘Best Event Film’ at this year’s International Motor Film Awards, held on October 4, 2024, at Alexandra Palace, in London.

This award marks the fifth nomination of a Falken production and the third time the global tyre brand has taken home the grand trophy, following victories with "Whatever Comes Our Way” in 2021 and "A Monument To The Art Of Racing” in 2023.

With over 3.6 million views to date, the award-winning film was created in collaboration with Motionctrl and Tobias Kahler. Released in July, the work captures the relentless pursuit and unwavering passion present in the 24-hour Nürburgring race.
